Hi, I’m mary jane.
Mary Jane is a published author, social worker and drabarni healer in the ancient Roma lineage. She uses a variety of healing modalities and takes a thoughtful, personalized approach to each client and their specific needs.
A drabarni believes that healing is a natural process that can be facilitated by tapping into the divine energy that surrounds us. Mary Jane uses a range of techniques including tarot readings, spirit messages, energy healings, hypnotherapy and spiritual counseling to help her clients achieve wellness, balance and harmony in their lives. MJ works with spirit guides, uses ancient techniques, and taps into the power of mother nature to heal her clients as a whole, treating the body, mind, and spirit.
Mary Jane is an intuitive clairvoyant who was gifted with her abilities from birth. She is therefore able to bring a unique depth and clarity to her tarot readings, spirit messages and energy healings and hypnosis work.
As an experienced counselor working in both private and government roles, Mary Jane specializes in advocating for domestic violence victims and improving access to women's mental health care. She understands how important a trauma-informed approach is for her clients to feel safe and understood, and to heal.
Mary Jane gained her coaching training from Melbourne's prestigious Coaching Institute and her hypnosis certification from the Australian Academy of Hypnosis. She has lived in the UK, Cyprus and the Middle East. She currently shares her time between Perth, Western Australia and Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. Mary Jane is able to draw on all this life experience in order to support you on your healing journey and bring balance to all areas of your life.
what is A DRABARNI?
Drabarni healers are women who act as keepers of the old truths.
Drabarni are ancient woman healers in the Romani gypsy tradition. Very little is known about drabarni healers in the modern world. A drabarni will use energy healing, intuition, tarot, oils, mesmerism, and other healing modalities. We believe in the healing power of mother earth and nature.
My family heritage is that of a Romani Gypsy, who many hundreds of years ago originated from Northern India. Because of the social barriers and high levels of racial assault in Britain when I was growing up, I realised that my Father was ashamed of his heritage, but I was not. I am proud of my heritage and ancestors. Practicing energy healing takes me right back to where I am from.
The Roma do not follow a single faith; rather, they often adopt the predominant religion of the country where they are living, and describe themselves as "many stars scattered in the sight of God." Some Roma groups are Catholic, Muslim, Pentecostal, Protestant, Anglican or Baptist.
Gypsy women who heal, are drabarni healers. This title is handed down; a drabarni is what modern times would call a holistic therapist, or simply a healer. A drabarni uses intuition to guide her in delivering the very best healing. This may be through energy, or guidance and counseling, or the use of oils and herbs. Often tarot cards are incorporated to assist in the process.
Most people have never heard of a drabarni, it is very little known in the modern world, as such I have also trained in other healing modalities that are more commonly known.
