Hi, I’m Mary Jane

I am a published author, social worker and drabarni healer in the ancient Roma lineage. I use a variety of healing modalities and take a thoughtful, personalized approach to each client and their specific needs.

A drabarni believes that healing is a natural process that can be facilitated by tapping into the divine energy that surrounds us. I draw on a range of techniques including tarot readings and other forms of divination, psychic and spirit messages, energy healings, hypnotherapy and spiritual counseling to help my clients achieve wellness, balance and harmony in their lives. I work with spirit guides, and I use ancient techniques that I learned from my family. As well, part of my tradition is to tap into the power of mother nature to heal my clients as a whole, treating the body, mind, and spirit.

I am an intuitive clairvoyant and was gifted with my abilities from birth. I have a rich relationship with the spirit world because of this. It allows me to bring a unique depth and clarity to my readings, healings, counseling and hypnosis work.

As an experienced counselor working in both private and government roles, I specialize in advocating for domestic violence victims and improving access to women's mental health care. I understands how important a trauma-informed approach is for my clients to feel safe and understood, and to heal.

I gained my coaching training from Melbourne's prestigious Coaching Institute and my hypnosis certification from the Australian Academy of Hypnosis. I have lived in the US, UK, Cyprus and the Middle East. I currently share my time between Perth, Western Australia and Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. I have three adult children and six grandchildren who keep me quite busy. I look forward to drawing on all this life experience in order to support you on your healing journey and bring balance to all areas of your life.

Drabarni story

”We are many stars scattered in the sight of God."

-Romany gypsy proverb

A drabarni is a naturopath, a holistic therapist, or simply a healer.

A drabarni will use intuition to guide them in delivering the very best healing. This may be through mesmerism, or guidance/coaching, or the use of oils and herbs. Often Tarot cards and other forms of divination are incorporated to assist in the process.

Gypsy women who heal are drabarni healers. This title is handed down family lines. A drabarni is what we in modern times would call a holistic healer.

Gypsies originally came from the Punjab region of northern India as nomads and entered Europe between the eighth and tenth centuries. They were called "gypsies" because Europeans mistakenly thought they came from Egypt. As a matter of survival, the Roma have been continuously on the move.

Romany Gypsy women told fortunes, sold potions, and healed. Common practices included using spider webs to heal wounds, and the use of ponds or other bodies of water for divination. Before veterinary medicine was available, farmers and livestock dealers looked to gypsies for advice on herd health. Before modern medicine became available and affordable, people would often consult a gypsy healer for a cure.

Drabarni healers have passive psychic powers such as empathy, precognition, psychometry, and skill with illusion casting. They are known for their spells and love potions. They are in tune with nature, and possess an intimate understanding of living close to the earth. Drabarnis connect to their inner sources of wisdom, as well as universal energies, in order to perform their rituals and prophecy.

The modern-day drabarni is a combination of herbalist, veterinarian, energy healer, medium and counselor. She is very connected to Mother Earth and takes power and inspiration from nature in her healings.
